Hilderbrant Campaign Reaches Latest Fundraising Goal

The Hilderbrant for County Legislature campaign just surpassed it's goal of raising $3000 in one month in order to maximize a donor's pledge of matching funds.

Campaign Update

To all my supporters:

Tonight marks the end of our fundraising matching drive and we are
proud to announce an awesome success!  When we began this drive - just one
month ago - we set a fairly lofty goal of raising $3,000 in one month.
Tonight I’m very happy to tell you that not only did we meet that goal…
but we soundly surpassed it!

Through the generosity of more than two dozen donors in the past month
we raised nearly $3,600!  And with the matching contribution promised
by one generous individual, we have brought in over $7,000 – just in
time for the home stretch of this campaign!  Incredible.

We have 300 yard signs ready to go, some of which traveled with us in
the Labor Day Parade.  We just received a shipment of another 2,500
magnets since we have run out of the first 2,500 – can you picture
5,000 refrigerators in the district with a “Chris Hilderbrant for
County Legislator” magnet?!  The new funding will go toward mailings to
get our message to so many more voters in the district, more literature
for door-to-door walking/wheeling, targeted mailings to selected
demographics and many more campaign expenses.

While all this fundraising has been going on, many volunteers and I
have been out continuing to connect with the voters in the district.  I’ve
got to say that as we get closer to election, the response I’ve had
from people has become even more positive!  The people are glad to have
a choice, an independent, someone not bound by party-line, someone with
a history of advocating for what is needed by people not politicians.

After walking door-to-door until after the sun goes down, I’ve spent
many of my late nights reading and responding to surveys from various
local and statewide community groups.  We are expecting to be able to
announce several major endorsements in the next few weeks – so keep an
eye out for that!

It’s been an awesome experience, just a month and a half to go!
