These pictures are of all that remains of a tent at the Occupy Rochester encampment that was set on fire during the early hours of March 20. According to witnesses at the park, reports of no injuries were premature. The lone occupant who escaped the burning tent was taken to a hospital later that morning with burns caused not only by the flames but from chemicals used to start the fire. Other tents in the encampment were doused with a liquid possibly containing chlorine and ammonia. A book of matches was found. Much of the camp's food supply was contaminated and had to be discarded. Rochester Police ruled the fire an accident but the Fire Department is continuing to investigate.
