Local Bands Begin a New Revolution
Primary tabs
Intrinsic shares the stage with Endangered Youth to put on a spectacle evening of musical entertainment to an unimaginable proportion. Anyone who doesn’t show up will be missing out on several future legends.
Opening the show is talented local musician Chris Engard.
Following is the long awaited return of Comedown, the shoegazer inspired Subvert band from Penfield. After Comedown is the classic metal and grunge influenced band known as Horseface; a force to be reckoned with. Performing right after the mighty HorseFace is the modern day Rock N' Roll sensations The Results. These guys are a blend of classic AC/DC inspired Rock N' Roll, mixed with that bitter-sweet sound of classic Garage-Rock with a dash of Punk Rock and paprika. The Results bring visual entertainment to a some-what revisited sarcastic humor, blended with serious stage presence and killer tunes.
Co-Headlining are the Subvert Kings and Hard Rock Saviors known simply as Intrinsic. These guys are not a joke. Intrinsic keeps their sound simply complicated and throws audiences through a loop with their clever lyrics and simple but insane music. Along with Comedown, Intrinsic is part of a brand new genre, one with a fimiliar sound, but completely different and new sound which is called Subvert. Simply put, this new genre these bands call Subvert is exactly what it is: a revolution to bring about the dawning of a new era in music history.
Headling are the controversial experimental thrashers known as Endangered Youth. These young men are the perfect example of the kids your parents warned you about. Endangered Youth blends together that classic meaning of heavy metal with the anger and agression of classic 80's Hardcore Punk. Endangered Youth is a band made up of intelligent young men who aren't afraid to say what they feel.... And they have proved that many times. Endangered Youth will be promoting their brand new, debut album Furtherance and will speak their minds and have their points and views heard.
The show is planned to be a true landmark in Rochester’s music history as these young musicians bring true meaning and entertainment back to today’s “Contemporary Rock N’ Roll” music. Although the show was originally Intrinsic’s CD release show, the group has decided to push the release of their CD back a few weeks. When asked why the CD has been pushed back, lead vocalist Mykel “Nitro” Bellanca responded “F**k deadlines. We want our album to sound perfect to our standards; we want it produced the way we want it, period. We also want to give people something worth listening to, aside from the garbage the media is trying to cram down our throats nowadays.”
