In this talk, followed by a discussion, Andrew Cornell will place Movement for a New Society in the broader history of U.S. anarchism and post-1960s radicalism, while offering an assessment of the strategies and conceptual tools it left to current movements.  Andrew Cornell is an educator, organizer and writer who has worked in labor, global justice, prison abolition, and other social movements. Cornell has written for periodicals such as Left Turn, Z Magazine, Utne Reader, MRzine. He is completing a book about U.S. anarchism in the mid-20th century as a postdoctoral fellow at Haverford College in Philadelphia.
