A few weeks ago Rochester Indymedia hosted a gathering of folks asking questions about the relevance of indymedia and what if anything could we do to better utilize this tool in our community.
The response and thoughtful constructive criticism were great. At the end of the meeting, the idea of a media collaboration formed. This would be a space for independent media makers or folks interested in doing such work could get together in a non-meeting and informal way bringing their own projects to work on.
The beauty of the space is the synergy created by folks who meet and get ideas from each other while working on projects.
So, if you want to have some snacks, meet neat people, talk and work on media and media related projects, please stop in!
Thursdays, 6-9pm, Flying Squirrel Community Space (285 Clarissa St.)
As usual, Rochester Indymedia has its editorial meeting from 8-9pm and folks are more than welcome to attend. However, if people would like to continue with their projects, then that is great!
