Last August the Coal Export Action made history with the largest environmental civil disobedience in Montana's history. Hundreds of people from impacted communities across the northw
est descended on Helena, Montana to say no to vast new strip mines in Montana's wilderness designed to export coal to China and other Asian countries.
Summer 2012 saw an explosion of bold civil disobedience against extreme energy. From Charlotte, NC to Nacogdoches, TX hundreds of people took part in tthe "Summer of Solidarity"
In April 15 of those arrested in Montana will go before a jury in Helena. They have been given the unique opportunity to argue in court that the threats of Climate Change and Extreme Energy necessitate this kind of direct action, essentially putting Climate Change on trial in before the national media.
