<p>Camp Justice: Working the Media Public</p><p><strong>WHERE: Metro Justice, 167 Flanders St.<br>WHEN: Monday, November 26th, 7pm</strong></p><p>As activists and organizers seeking social change, it’s fundamental that we reach a wide audience. One important way that we try to gain the attention of that audience is by gaining coverage in the mass media.</p><p>Of course, there are some problems with this. First, we don’t control what they report. Second, we don’t control how they report. Third, the people that do control most media outlets are the same sort of corporate entities that we are fighting, so we’re not likely to get fair coverage.</p><p>Despite these challenges, there are simple things we can do to help ensure coverage in our local media. There are also things that we can do to help control the message and how it is reported.
