UR management still insists on ending our National Benefit Fund and moving us into its health plans which cost us a lot more money and cover less. UR is also offering only a 1% wage increase each year of the contract. No further talks are scheduled until next Monday, October 15. HUGE MEMBER TURNOUT APPROVES ACTION PLAN 770 union members attended meetings on Tuesday, a record turnout, and voted nearly unanimously to picket and protest UR management’s completely unreasonable offer in negotiations. The tally in the secret ballot vote was 757 yes, and 9 no.
