Creating Workplace Democracy in Rochester

Celebrate the Year of the Cooperative on Sunday, October 14th!

The United Nations General Assembly has declared 2012 as the International
Year of the Cooperatives, highlighting the contribution of cooperatives to
socio-economic development, particularly their impact on poverty reduction,
employment generation and social integration.

This event, sponsored by the Rochester Organization for Workplace Democracy
(ROWD), invites you to explore ways for Rochester to build local and
sustainable worker-owned businesses.

• Joe Marraffino , worker cooperative organizer, will make a presentation
• Small World Foods and Once Again Nut Butter – these local, democratically-
run businesses will answer questions and provide delicious samples of their
products!
• Group discussion about how we can move forward together!
