Rochester’s progressive community turned out Tuesday evening, August 19 for “An Evening with Bill Reed”, a presentation and evening of collective assembling of people in the area who are interested in Green issues and how they could benefit Rochester. The event was sponsored by Harry Davis, who is running for Rochester City Council, South District, and was held at the home of Nancy Watson Dean, in the gardens at her home on Sibley Place.
Approximately 80 people, turned out for the informative event. Those in attendance included local activists, concerned citizens, members of the local business and governmental communities and others. Bill Reed, an architect whose specialty is green sustainability and development, gave a presentation. Harry Davis announced that he was running as an Independent write-in candidate at that event. Articles regarding Davis’ causes as well as informational advertising have peppered City this past month with knowledge regarding key local issues that are not being addressed. Davis is Rochester’s first candidate on a “write-in” in a general election to utilize the means of an established candidacy (staff, publicity, etc).
Davis' issues include opposing the Main and Clinton bus station, and what to do with Genesee hospital and the Downtown Motor Lodge
