Peace and Rights Forum
5:30- 7:30 pm
Friday July, 18th
St. Joes, 402 South Ave
As the lies underlying Bush's illegal war on Iraq are hitting the mainsteam press, there's a continued need to build opposition to US imperialism and develop effective strategies to address the attacks on the peace and our rights. Throughout the past two months the Peace and Rights Forum has served as a place for people to come together to build this opposition. The ongoing discussions have taken up the questions of electoral politics, and its role in keeping people out of power, as well as the need to build on the organization that came out of the anti-war work of the past year. The group has also taken up the work to organize a Rochester Social Forum, along the lines of the World Social Forum to take place sometime this fall. This Friday, we'll continue the discussion and planning. The Agenda is open, so please reply to this announcement with any items you feel are important to include.
