Rochester, NY, peace activists joined together on Memorial Day, 5/31/04, to honor all the recent war dead -- American, Iraqi, Afghani. An ecumenical religious service was followed by the reading of names of the dead (including many Iraqi children), and then participants threw flowers representing the souls of the dead into the Genesee River, symbolizing the flow of life and death.
