Rochester IMC 10-minute Pieces
Primary tabs
Two ten minute pieces produced by the Rochester IMC video working group. Women Confronting the AIDS Crisis and report on the April 25th March for Women's Lives.
Rochester Indymedia airs some amazing shows on public access TV that many people don't have access too. I'm going to try to start posting shows to the website, so that people have more access to them. I'm going to start it off with two really amazing recent works. The format is mp4, email me if you have any problems viewing them. Both pieces are approximately 10 minutes.
Women Confronting the AIDS Crisis
#file_7#
This spring, Rochester resident Colleen
Freeman joined a group of women travelling to South Africa to witness first
hand the AIDS crisis and how folks are working to fight against it. Colleen explains what she saw over photos and video she took on the trip. This video shows both the tragedy of the AIDS crisis and the strength of the women working to ease the suffering around them however they can.
March for Women's Lives

On April 25th over 1 million women marched on
Washington to protest the recent assault on abortion rights (

coverage). Rochester Indymedia followed the Rochesterians who went and
talked with them about their concerns, thoughts and analyses of the situation
women face today. (The Rochester-Syracuse region brought at least 11 busses
and a plane to the march, in addition to many, many carloads).
Rochester Indymedia airs on RCTV Public Access (cable channel 15 in the city) every Wednesday at 7:30pm. Indymedia also produces the TV Dinner show, which shows Thursdays at 8:30pm, also on RCTV.
