Rupert Murdoch’s international media empire, News Corporation is being shaken to its very foundations as a result of an ever-expanding scandal surrounding the conduct of reporters working for his British tabloid newspaper, News of the World. Reporters and editors at the paper had been involved in hacking into the phones of politicians, celebrities, the royal family and crime victims -- including 13-year-old schoolgirl Milly Dowler, who had been abducted and murdered. Murdoch employees are also charged with bribing police officials to get leads on news stories.
