Hundreds of measures were introduced around the country, and a significant number were passed. Some require mandatory ultra-sounds; others ban abortions after 20 weeks with no exceptions for the health of the mother or rape or incest; others place restrictions on abortion coverage in the federal government's new health insurance exchanges.
