In honor of the courageous protesters standing up for freedom and democracy in Cairo, Egypt's "Tahrir (Liberation) Square", the Liberty Pole in downtown Rochester will be renamed to "Rochester Liberation Square."

12:00 noon through 7:00 pm; calling for large numbers to gather at 5:30pm as a show of strength and solidarity.
The event will include the display of large banners, picket signs, songs and speak outs, emulating the actions of the protesters currently camped out in Cairo and other places around Egypt. All people who support the movement for democracy in Egypt to join us anytime during the day. Donations of bottled water, hot cocoa and other supplies are welcomed to help the us brave the Rochester cold
