The incredible BEAT poet who performed Sept 10 as one of the Radical Poets the Squirrels sponsored, died December 23rd. She was a tireless activist and feminist, and worked the last 20 years in maximum security prisons and immigrant work camps.

Much of the poetry her students wrote has been published, some in translation. The video we have of her at Clarissa's is one of the last taped performances available. She kicked ass her whole life, in spite of crippling arthritis and other health issues. (Notice from Paulette S.)
