It’s time to show the community how we feel
about the way our children are educated!
Coalition for Common Sense in Education (CCSE)
of Greater Rochester supports:
-- overhauling the No Child Left Behind and Race to the Top Acts to reflect the research on how children grow and develop
-- program parity between urban students and their suburban peers
-- fair and equitable distribution of resources and learning opportunities to meet the needs of urban students
-- curricular content that intrinsically motivates students with rich learning experiences
-- an end to the perversion of curriculum through high-stakes testing
-- reigniting the joy of learning and teaching!
3:45 PM: Gather in front of Hochstein School (50 N. Plymouth Ave.)
4:00 PM: March to the Federal Building (100 State Street)
Sidewalk Route: South on Plymouth Avenue, left onto Main St & left onto State St.
4:20 PM: Rally with speakers takes place in Plaza in front of Federal Building
Follow-Up Discussion immediately follows at the Downtown United Presbyterian Church (121 N. Fitzhugh Street)
