MAJOR PUBLIC HEARING ON MAYORAL CONTROL IN ROCHESTER THIS WEEK:
Primary tabs
The NYS Assembly Education Committee is coming to Rochester: This may be the single most important event this year regarding mayoral control of schools: sign up or submit written comments in advance of Friday's public hearing.
Friday, June 18 (beginning 10am) NYS Assembly Education Committee is coming to Rochester to hear public testimony on mayoral control
Even though Mayor Duffy may be leaving the local scene, there is still a push from some politicians and from business interests for mayoral control. Please participate in the PUBLIC HEARING CALLED BY NY STATE ASSEMBLY EDUCATION COMMITTEE THIS FRIDAY JUNE 18 STARTING 10AM. The Community Education Task Force will continue our efforts to prevent this anti-democratic and harmful assault on our school system and we look forward to working toward authentic school reforms.
Please call 585 615-1626 or 585 317-2367 if you would like to talk with a Community Education Task Force member about speaking or submitting written comments for this crucially important public hearing with the New York State Assembly Education Committee. YOU MUST SIGN UP IN ADVANCE -- it's not difficult, but you must follow the process in the link below.
