New Poll Suggests Widespread Disagreement with Mayoral Control of Schools

The Poll found that only 17 percent favored mayoral control.
51 percent of the parents polled preferred keeping the school board.
The remaining 32 percent were undecided.
These numbers are the results of a telephone poll, conducted by BRX Global Research Services of Rochester from Jan. 29 to Feb. 6.
The Poll focused on Parents of School Aged Children in the City of Rochester. Calls were made to a random sample of parents of school-age children in the city on a list obtained from an established data company.
The Poll has a margin of error of 7.3 percent.
