The Community Education Task Force Press Conference Opposing Mayoral Control of RCSD was attended by individuals representing a wide range of interests and organizations. Rochester Indymedia talked with parents, activists, teachers and community members about why they opposed mayoral control of the Rochester City School District.
Representatives from the task force discussed many topics, but focused on the connections between this campaign and the hard-fought campaign for voting rights and on parent and community involvement in the education system.
