Organizer of Bailout The People Tent City during G20 arrested yesterday 12/20/09 on false charges and needs solidarity.
Rochester had a great showing at the G20 in Pittsburgh this Fall, and most of us stayed at the Bailout People Tent City at the Monumental Baptist Church in Pittsburgh's Hill neighborhood. One of the main reasons for the Hill District's supportive and politicized welcoming of us was the outreach and advance work done by Sharon Black. She moved to Pittsburgh a few months before the G20, established a strong relationship with Rev. Smith of Monumental Baptist Church, and organized the Tent City with the congregation and neighborhood.
