I'm a proud, angry whiner over Health care bill and Stupak-Pitts amendment
Primary tabs
Obama's field organizer for the Rochester area, sent out a e mail telling people that don't support the HR3962, that they are whiners. At a previous gathering, he made a comment that pro choice advocates in the same category as people who said that the bill created "death panels". I guess he was right, this bill will continue to let people die and women have lost more rights. Good job Democrats, you sure are changing things.
The following is an email sent out by Rochester for Change, a organization that pushes Obama's agenda.
Hello all. As many of you know and are hearing, some health insurance reform advocates are pleased with the passage of H.R. 3962 and some are not. To quote Rahm Emmanuel, "Health Care Reform is about the "Art of the Possible".
The president also stated that "the status quo will not cut it" Let me add that whining won't either.
To those who have all kinds of excuses of why they didn't vote for the bill or why they can't support the bill are really not helping to reform the status quo. We the Democrats WILL pass health insurance reform this year.
Will you be a whiner or a winner.
The vast majority of our Democratic party, organized labor, grassroots groups, health care advocates etc. support H.R. 3962. Let's stay United NOT Divided.
If you want to continue to whine and try to divide us, please do it else where, we don't want to hear it.
Judging from the emails I have received since Sat. This maybe a understatement.
That's my last word on this matter. Civil debate is always welcome but right now we need to unite.

Our fight continues now in the Senate.
On Monday morning I received a phone call from congresswoman Slaughter. Louise gave me a very descriptive view of all that took place on the House floor on Saturday. It was quite a eye opener. The amendment that most people are talking about is the Stupak-Pitts amendment.

Before this amendment, there was the Hyde amendment.

Long story short there were tears shed over having to vote on Stupak-Pitts. For over 30 yrs. people on both sides of this issue existed in we agree to dis-agree space. Now that has all changed.
The leaders in the Democratic caucus vow to work with the president to modify Stupak-Pitts in the conference committee.

Again we need to remain united, if we want to pass health insurance reform.
