Pro-Peace, Pro Israel lobbying Group Rapps Up Conference

JStreet which bills itself as a pro-peace, pro-Israel lobbying group that is trying to challenge the entrenched power of the very militant and right wing American Israeli Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) rapped up its first annual conference and it was a booming success. JStreet is pushing the US to pressure Israel to agree to a two state solution. The organizers of this conference were expecting 1,000 to attend but 1,500 attended instead. Security guards blocked the doors to several panels because the rooms were so crowded it would have been illegal for any more to be in the rooms for the panel discussions.
