She will respond to the causes and impacts of immigration and untangle the complex factors that have pushed so many to abandon their communities and come here to live. Ms. Gutiérrez holds a degree in indigenous law and is working on a Master’s degree that explores the impacts of migration on identity and family in Oaxacan indigenous communities. </p ><p> Paola Gutiérrez Galindo’s talk is sponsored by Witness for Peace and RIT and co-sponsored by the Rochester Committee on Latin America and Migrant Support Services of Wayne County. </p ><p> Contact: Diane Forbes, RIT, 475-6765</p >
