FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: *****Please forward widely***** On October 13th at 12:30pm, Mayor Bob Duffy agreed to meet with Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) this coming Friday, October 16th. Duffy has since changed the terms of this meeting from SDS meeting with the mayor alone to SDS meeting with officials of the RPD and its lawyers. Therefore, we are postponing this meeting while we seek legal council. Please note: these changes in meeting terms came without the notification of SDS; we had to obtain this information independently. We feel this change in terms was an attempt to entrap our organization and potentially weaken the legal cases of those arrested at last week's anti-war demonstration.
