Jackie Orr - "Psycho-public simulations: Performing bio-terrors."
Primary tabs
Jackie Orr is offering the keynote performance for the 'Contests and Continuities' Statewide Sociology conference on Friday, Oct 16th, from 7 to 8:30 PM in Basil 135 in St. John Fisher College. Orr is a cutting edge genealogist, interdisciplinary theorists, and auto-ethnographer focused on the collective production of panic and terror. As a self described ‘performance sociologist’, she challenges traditional methods of presenting ideas. Her multimedia performances are provocative, stimulating, and timely modes of exploring the continuing and, seemingly, permanent state of our contemporary crisis.
The performance is free and open to the public. Email conference organizer Paul Fuller for details or questions at pcfuller@gmail.com
