Vietnam raids monastery, evicts monks
Primary tabs
Bat Nha was the fastest-growing and most radical monastery in Vietnam. It was completely destroyed last week by a mob while uniformed police blocked off all roads of access. They violently evicted the monks living there, followers of Thich Nhat Hanh.
A leaked memo from a communist party official blatantly contradicts the Vietnamese Government’s claim that they have nothing to do with the oppression of the Bat Nha monks and nuns (sound familiar, Rochester?)
Help our brothers and sisters in Vietnam who have been violently persecuted for practicing meditation and Buddhism! go to:

for more information on how to write letters and make phone calls.
Please consider writing to Senator Kirsten Gillibrand from NY, who is on the Committee
on Foreign Relations, Subcommittee on East Asian and Pacific Affairs in the US Senate. A letter sent by postal mail or fax or phone call is
best.
