Join in defending the rights of prisoners. The horrendous conditions at Erie County Jails are a problem faced by many families in Buffalo. Despite federal and local investigatiins documenting the brutal attacks on rights that our youth and family members face, government officials at all levels contine to act with impunity. It is known that they are responsible for deaths and brutality yet are not held accountable.The Sherriff is also known for misusing over million dollars from commissary fund which is set up exclusively by law for prisoner programs. People from our community are in the Holding center for parking tickets, bad checks, petty theft and many non-violent crimes, the Sherriff is responsible in the misuse of over a million dollars and deaths. Now is the time to join in demanding:
Stop the Abuse! No Excuse! No to Government Impunity! Speak Out for Prisoner's Rights!
On Wednesday September 9th there will be a rally at Church and Delaware at 5pm. All are invited to come and participate--tell your own stories, express your outrage, join in the fight to defend rights!
