Every year Genesee Valley Citizens for Peace commemorates the nuclear bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki (1945) with a vigil.

This is one of the more satisfying events we do. We stand by the roadside with signs, next to a row of luminaria. As it gets dark, we light candles. Tom Taylor brings out his guitar, and we gather in a circle to sing peace songs.
