RALLY AGAINST BUDGET CUTS at the STATE CAPITOL IN ALBANY!
Tuesday, November 18th, 2008.
Bus leaves from Rochester.

Sponsored by Metro Justice and Citizen Action of New York

-----

The financial crisis has hit New York State. On November 18th, the New York State Legislature will meet to decide how to close NYS's short-term $1.5 billion deficit.

In times when New York's neediest residents and working families are getting hit the hardest, we need a state government that will protect the programs we depend on.

We must demand that our representatives in Albany:
-Invest in our communities to make the economy stronger,
-Protect the neediest New Yorkers, and
-Require those New Yorkers who have the most to contribute their fair share.

EDUCATION, HEALTH CARE, AND THE SOCIAL SAFETY NEW ARE THREATENED. JOIN US TO SAY "NO" TO BUDGET CUTS!

This event is free, but space is limited. Please call 288-4693 to reserve your seat on the bus.

Account Creation Policy Change

Rochester Indymedia is now requiring editor approval for account creation.

We came to this decision after we had repeated spam posted to our website that caused difficulty with the website's functioning.  We will still have open publishing and keep our site as nonrestrictive and accessible as possible.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.  As before, we will continue to be Rochester's grassroots news and education site.  Thank you for your continued support and remember, "Don't hate the media, be the media!"

Editorial Meeting Times / Locations

The Rochester Independent Media Center (R-IMC) is no longer meeting regularly.
We will set up meetings by necessity and appointment. Please contact us at rochesterindymedia@rocus.org.
Our home is still the Flying Squirrel Community Space at 285 Clarissa St. Occasionally, we hold meetings at RCTV located at 21 Gorham Street.
