11/22 Watkins Glen: Celebration FOR Turkeys, Farm Sanctuary
Watkins Glen NY ~ Saturday, 11/22/08 ... starting around 11:00am, all day!
This is *before* Thanksgiving, to be sure we'll all be around for this day (Saturday).
Come to the W.G.Community Center for the Vegan potluck, and guest speaker.
Then everybody drives (~8 miles from town) up to Farm Sanctuary
(follow each other if you don't know the way),
to visit the animals, and feed the turkeys (read below).
Be sure you "reserve for your guests - bring friends with you"!
The cost is $10/family = you decide how many guests that is.
They want to educate and encourage people to GO VEGAN
... what a great way to do it!
A very special, fun, wonderful, fulfilling, rewarding must-do-day!
Be there!

Celebrate a compassionate Thanksgiving by joining the Farm Sanctuary staff and farm animal residents at our New York Shelter for our annual Thanksgiving Celebration FOR the Turkeys – a very special holiday tradition that everyone, especially the turkeys, will enjoy!
Attendees of the Celebration will have the chance to spend time with other compassionate people, enjoy delectable vegan versions of favorite holiday foods, and listen to inspirational speakers.
The highlight of the day, of course, is the very special Feeding of the Turkeys Ceremony, where our rescued turkeys become the guests of honor and receive a festive feast of pumpkin pie, cooked squash, cranberries, and other goodies made just for them! Guests will also enjoy quality time with the other rescued animals at our shelters.
New York Shelter · Watkins Glen, NY
The New York Celebration costs $10 per family and features a potluck-style feast. Guests should plan to bring a vegan (free from eggs, dairy, honey, and animal byproducts) dish to feed eight people. Guests at the New York event will enjoy a motivating presentation by Food Not Bombs Founder Keith McHenry.
Reservations are required for both events by November 14, 2008. Register early, as these events usually sell out very quickly!
