Since September 2003, Zwebner has aggressively fought<br /> back, filing five lawsuits in U.S. District Court in Miami in<br /> retaliation for comments on RagingBull.com, which is operated by<br /> Waltham, Mass.-based Internet network provider Lycos. </p> <p>The five suits include a class action trademark case and a class<br /> action defamation case against Lycos, and a fraud suit and a libel<br /> suit against a variety of individual posters. The disabled British born businessman, a<br /> polio victim, fled Britain 6 years ago leaving his wife behind after<br /> the collapse of his Land Development Corporation with debts between<br /> £600,000 and £1.5 million.The firm was behind a scheme to build a £18<br /> million golden city outside Oldham including offices, hotel and<br /> conference center and creating 2,000<br /> jobs. </p> <p>Zwebner moved to Miami with Gia, who was pregnant. In his absence the<br /> company was struck off and Zwebner made personally bankrupt. </p> <p>He now claims he has repaid his creditors and is seeking to have his<br /> bankruptcy annulled, but according to Insolvency service records he is<br /> a current bankrupt with personal debts of £48,000. The record prevents<br /> Zwebner from running a company in the UK and he claims to be only a<br /> paid employee of Cardcall (UK). But Zwebner controls the British<br /> Company - in breach of company law - as the only named director of its<br /> American parent from Cardcall International Holdings of Delaware.(The<br /> same state coincidentally where Olmert's Likud Partty money laundering<br /> pal Menachem Atzmon incorporated ICTS that guarded Logan Airport on<br /> 9/11!). </p> <p>In Miami, Zwebner established several businesses including the GiaMic<br /> Corporation - the names based on his and his girlfriends' Christian<br /> names. The company had<br /> no ownership interest in Lycos. CNN journalist Wolf Blitzer had no<br /> connection to the postings. Neither of them knew who was posting the<br /> statements. </p> <p>The lawyer who had contacted CNN on behalf of Universal Communications<br /> Systems, Inc. (a holding company involved in various businesses<br /> including broadband wireless Internet) and its CEO, Michael J.<br /> Zwebner, did not even wait the 24 hours to file a defamation action<br /> against CNN and Wolf Blitzer in the U.S. District Court for the<br /> Southern District of Florida. CNN would soon learn that the plaintiffs<br /> had previously filed at least five other lawsuits relating to material<br /> on Lycos' Web sites. </p> <p>Counsel for Universal Communications sent a letter on January 31,<br /> 2005, suggesting that CNN cooperate in discovering the identity of the<br /> author of the postings, but it refused to dismiss the complaint.
