Dear Brothers and Sisters, Hermanos y Hermanas, This morning we received news that on *Sunday at the Regional Market in Syracuse*, green uniformed ICE agents were picking up people at the_ Flea Market_. We believe that at least three people (possibly more) were picked up and taken to Oswego for questioning. Feel free to forward this information to all those who might be interested. This is a good time to share with you that the Detainment Bail Fund, is down to just a couple hundred dollars. If you can loan or contribute to the bail fund, we may be able to assist the 25-year-old man who was among those who were picked up and taken to Oswego Border Patrol facility for questioning. He has no criminal record and is a hard-working greenhouse worker. Checks for the bail fund can be written to Patricia Rector, Caroline Kim, or Michael Lax and mailed to *Workers' Rights Center, 232 E. Onondaga Street, Syracuse, NY 13202.* Please write the following on the memo line: * *Bail fund _loan,_* or (which you would get back if the person complies with all court dates, and returns to home country if deported) * *Bail fund _contribution _*(which we will use to bail out individuals, and continue to bail out others once the bail money is returned. What helps us the most is contributions. No contribution is too small. All are treasured. Please be advised that we will have a fund-raising concert, second in our series, "Raisin' Hell, Raisin' Bail," on Sunday, April 20 at 4 p.m. with San Francisco cultural worker Francisco Herrera and local singer/songwriter Colleen Kattau. The concern will be mostly in Spanish, with translation in English. Some members of the Syracuse Community Choir will also be performing. The concert will be held at Plymouth Church, 232 E. Onondaga. Please call if you can bring some Latino-themed snacks. Solidarity in perpetuity, Pat Rector, Coordinator CNY Labor-Religion Coalition Contact person: CNY Workers' Rights Center, 232 E. Onondaga Street (315) 474-4821 Worker Center Hours: Mon.-Thursday from 11-5 p.m. and by appt. Today's needs: someone willing to create and maintain a website for us; someone to write press releases; person willing to put together a benefit concert; online researcher (you could do this from home) Join our Immigrant Detainment & Legal Defense Task Force - Meets Fridays at 9 a.m.
