View Winter Soldier: Iraq and Afghanistan at the Antiwar Storefront
Primary tabs
Winter Soldier is showing by live feed at the Anti-War storefront through Sunday, and can also be
viewed online at ivaw.org.
Good morning everyone,
I wanted to give you all a heads up on a historical that started
Thursday evening and is continuing through this Sunday. The event is
called /Winter Soldier: Iraq and Afghanistan/. The four-day event will
bring together veterans from across the country to testify about their
experiences in Iraq and Afghanistan - and present video and
photographic
evidence. In addition, there will be panels of scholars, veterans,
journalists, and other specialists to give context to the testimony.
These panels will cover everything from the history of the GI
resistance
movement to the fight for veterans' health benefits and support. If
your
interested in watching this important investigation on TV or online
visit the IVAW Homepage <http://ivaw.org/> for more information.
Mike Totten and I will be participating on the "*Racism and War: the
Dehumanization of the Enemy: Part One"* panel this *Saturday from
11am-1pm*. This panel will expose torture, abuse, mishandling and
mutilation of the dead, and other derogatory treatment of Iraqi and
Afghan civilians. (Speakers: Mike Totten, Matthew Childers, Camilo
Mejia, Jabbar MacGruder, Bryan Casler, Sam Lynch, Jeffrey Smith, Scott
Ewing)
You will all be in my thoughts during this journey. Please, forward
this
on to others who might share our concerns as well.
Peace,
Bryan
