Women Read Against War
Friday March 14 at 7 p.m.
First Unitarian Church of Rochester
220 Winton Rd.
Women will join voices to understand the impact of war on women and their families,
by reading poetry and other writing by women from the Rochester region.
As we gather in a circle, poets and readers will speak through their writing,
much as drummers in a shaman drum circle do,
sharing through our words the common journey that we travel
as mothers, sisters, friends, families, and soldiers in this time of war and violence.
Circle poets and participants will include:
Anita Augesen, Sally Bonn, Jan Cedras, Rebecca Housel, Whitney Gratton, Linda Reinfeld, Helen Ruggieri,
Patricia Schwartz, Paulette Swartzfager, Louise Wu and representatives of Military Families Speak Out
co-sponsored by the 1st Unitarian Peace Advocates Task Force.
