Meeting of anarchists in Buffalo, New York

To address the growing interest in building a collective anarchist movement in the Buffalo area, we are hosting a series of discussions to flesh out possible directions of such a movement. <!--break--> To address the growing interest in building a collective anarchist movement in the Buffalo area, we are hosting a series of discussions to flesh out possible directions of such a movement. Hey! Buffalo Anarchists! Tired of your boss? Hate the war? Want to put an end to police brutality? Maybe Anarchism can help! To address the growing interest in building a collective anarchist movement in the Buffalo area, we are hosting a series of discussions to flesh out possible directions of such a movement. We are compiling a small notebook of readings, and hope for a participatory discussion of people that may be interested in building such a movement. Every Thursday at 7pm at the Buffalo Pride Center (18 Trinity Place -- walking distance from the Theatre Subway station). Themes to be covered: 1) Anarchism: What is it? What isn't it? 2) Why Anarchist specific organization? 3) Anarchism and the Class Struggle. 4) Anarchism vs. systems of social oppression (racism, sexism, heterosexism) 5) Platformist v. Synthesist Models of Organizing. After the discussion series, and the loads of awesome ideas that come out of it, in the last week we will discuss building anarchists projects/organization here in Buffalo and how to do it!
