Labor Film Series Update
We're very disappointed to announce that we've just received word that Ken Loach will not be able to attend the Labor Film Series after all, due to an unavoidable personal situation; he sends his deepest regrets and apologies.
However, the U.S. premiere of his new film, IT’S A FREE WORLD, will screen at the Dryden Theatre as planned at 8 p.m. on October 10. Anyone presenting a Labor Film Series pass will be admitted free.
Loach’s film on homelessness, CATHY COME HOME, will screen at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10 and again on Thursday, October 11 at 6 p.m. Anyone
presenting a Labor Film Series pass will be admitted free.
Those who had looked forward to the evening with Ken Loach may want to make a special effort to see CARRY ON KEN, showing at the Dryden Theatre
Friday, October 5 at 8 p.m. This documentary includes interviews with Loach and reflections on his films by actors and others who have worked with him.
The program that evening also includes one of Loach’s important documentaries, WHICH SIDE ARE YOU ON, on the great coal miners’ strike of 1984.
Again, anyone presenting a Labor Film Series pass will be admitted free.
