A FORCE MORE POWERFUL A Force More Powerful dramatizes how ordinary people throughout the world, working against all kinds of opponents, have taken up nonviolent weapons and prevailed. This documentary series, explores one of the 20th century's most important but least-understood stories - how nonviolent power has overcome oppression and authoritarian rule all over the world.
September 23 – Episode One includes 1960’s preparation of non-violent student actions for civil rights, 1930’s - Gandhi’s strategies against British rule, 1985- South Africans’ successful tactics to end apartheid
September 30 – Episode Two includes 1940’s resistance to the Nazi objectives, 1980’s striking workers in Poland, and 1983’s Chilean workers resistance to Gen. Augusto Pinochet’s dictatorship.
