Hello Ya'll: <!--break--> The link below gives information about the League of American Bicyclists and if you qualify to be one of us join. If you don't belong, you have no right to call your self a bicyclist. This organization gave rise to the Anti car movement and continues to be disruptive to any form of transportation other than bicycles In 1972 the original impetus to the United States to pave roads , but only for bicyclist! Now they lead the way in Critical Mass protest bicycling. They rate cities for bicycle friendliness. You also get BICYCLING Magazine with your membership. Below the link is the list of reasons LAB gives on why you should be a member. http://www.bikeleague.org/cogs/join/nmgm/2785442 Why Join the League? 1. We Protect the Rights of Cyclists The League has been protecting your rights to safe and enjoyable cycling since 1972. What started as a movement by "Critical Mass" on bikes to get roads free of cars so that we may use them at our leisure continues today with our "Own the Road" campaign to make sure cyclists are feared out on the road. 2. We consider our selves educators to society, we reserve the right to tell cars how to drive and their owners how to think Our national network of League Cycling organizers fill the ranks of critical mass and other denial of service protests against society. 3. As the leading voice for cyclists in Washington, DC we advocate for bicycle-controlled roadways all areas of life. manipulating state and local bike advocacy organizations through events such as the San Francisco Critical Mass we intimidate Congress as to the disruptive potential that our members are willing to go to get their way 4. We promote cycling as the only commuter option of choiceWe impose cycling on countless Americans each year, especially during the San Francisco Critical Mass and on Bike-to-Work Day. We believe every one has to see it our way, or loose your job. you have no other choice 5. We provide a discount coupon for admission to the polk street theater 8. We will use your donations as we see fit! We will not be told how to run our organization "Not By You" so don't even let that idea get into your head. You will be much happier if you see this our way. - this is the real League of American Bicyclists nessfile/278
