RAVS Vegan Dinner/Vegan Cooking Discussion

The June meeting of the Rochester Area Vegetarian Society will be held on Sunday June 17, 2007 at 5:30 PM at the Brighton Town Park Lodge, 777 Westfall Road (the driveway, on south side of Westfall, is called "Haudenosee Trail").

Dinner, at 5:30 PM, is our usual vegan share-a-dish dinner. You are asked to bring a vegan dish to share (a generous amount, to serve 8 people or a crowd), a serving utensil, and a place setting for yourself.

The program, at 7:00 PM, will be a Panel Discussion on Vegan Cooking. The panelists will discuss their strategies for meal planning, shopping, and food preparation; they will discuss favorite cookbooks and will share recipes. There will be plenty of time for Q&A and discussion. Additionally, we will have a special sale on cookbooks, before and after the program.

Non-members (and interested non-vegetarians) are always welcome. Guest fee for non-members is $3.00; guest fee will be subtracted from membership fee if you join later in the evening. As this meeting is held on Father's Day, fathers can attend for free! (but they or their family must bring a dish to pass).
