Exhibition opening June 8th, 2007 and runs to June 30th. Avid anti-war activist and RIT graduate student, Javier Maldonato O'Farrill, will show his print series "We Support Our Troops" created originally for his MFA thesis show. The media is a non-toxic photographic printmaking intaglio-type in which the plates are physically made, inked and printed on an etching press. The series of three mural-sized prints, "We Support Our Troops," is described by Javier as "a re-interpretation of the Rochester urban landscape."
The gallery is located at The Storefront Anti-War Crisis Center, 658 Monroe Ave., in the heart of the Monroe Village shopping district.
