Arts, Education and Community at SJFC 3/9
Primary tabs
Second of three lunchtime meetings at St. John Fisher College. Intent is to bring groups in the Peace Directory to talk.
Please join us for a stimulating conversation about Arts, Education, and Community!
Arts and technology integrated educational programs promote peace and social justice by engaging people of all ages in creative, expressive, and constructive activities that result in greater awareness of community needs and resources, stronger connections between individuals and groups, and a sense of purpose and future that is often lacking in underserved populations.
Kristin A. Rapp and Sara Hughes of ArtPeace, Inc. and Eric Grace of Art for Everyone will discuss and demonstrate innovative educational approaches proven to foster positive youth and community development. Come and find out about exciting projects being developed with the Rochester City School District, the Mayor's Office, Rochester Institute of Technology, and others in our community and how you can get involved!
Time: 11:45 to 12:45

This program is next in a series of Friday lunchtime programs at St. John Fisher College, sponsored by PeaceWorks of Greater Rochester.
Our February Friday program was "GETTING REAL ABOUT RACE: Reclaiming Discourse in Demogogic Times," presented by author Bruce A. Jacobs. It was thoughtful, interesting, and very well received.
Our third Friday program, on March 30th, will be on "Women's Empowerment" and will feature:
- Elaine Johnson of the Rochester Raging Grannies,
- Alberta Roesser, president of National Organization for Women (NOW), Rochester Chapter, and
- Linda Heron Wind, president of CIRCLE, Inc (Community of Individuals Re-visioning and Celebrating Life on Earth).
SEE YOU THERE!
