TV DINNER, MetroJustice's public access television task force, has been awarded funding from the New York State Council on the Arts to hire a PART-TIME CO-ORDINATOR. Under the current grant, which runs until October, the job would pay $10.50 per hour for 20 hours per week; the hours would go to ten weekly, thereafter and until October 2007,
unless additional funding sources are found.
TV Dinner and Rochester Indymedia have worked together for that past four years.
DUTIES include:
1)searching for additional funding sources, and keeping up with
(existing) NYSCA grant requirements;
2) transporting program tapes to
Rochester Community Television;
3) developing suburban outlets for the
show;
4) doing public relations for the group and individual shows and
events;
5) maintaining liaison with MJ central office re finances,
and developing and maintaining forms that facilitate TVD/MJ
recordkeeping;
6) calling members to business meeting, workshops, and
editing sessions
7) attending all TVD business meetings, keeping
records of same;
8)general organizational/"housekeeping" for the office.
APPLICANTS should be organized, have reliable private transportation,
and public relations and grantwriting experience. Video (specifically,
Final Cut Pro) and website abilities strongly preferred.
