Marshall Principal Begins to Feel The Pressure

Over 100 students at Marshall High School are wearing pins to school that say "Support GLBTQ youth-We Want Our GSA"! This is a student lead initiative and it's WORKING!!! This week the principal inquired about the pins. A student handing them out told him that the students are protesting him. Mr. Munno is starting to realize the heat is on. He attempted to get the kids to agree to an advisor of HIS choosing, one that will let the club slowly disappear by canceling meetings and following any directive that Munno gives without question (this person has a history of this). They told him NO. The kids are holding out for an advisor that will not surrender to Mr. Munno inequitable application of policy and proceedure for GLBTQ students and the GSA club. The kids have voiced a need for an advisor that will be a strong advocate for them. Erica's position has not been restored. She is still being actively harassed by the district.
The on-line petitions have over 150 signatures and students are circulating hard copies that have at least another 100 signatures. Please keep signing. Go to

The kids are getting a lot from reading the supportive comments people leave on the petition. While your there check out the new pages with writing by the very kids you are helping!
CONGRADULATIONS TO THE STUDENTS AT MARSHALL WHO HAVE WORKED HARD TO ENSURE THEIR RIGHTS AND THEIR SAFETY. MR. MUNNO IS STARTING TO UNDERSTAND THAT HE WON'T BE ALLOWED TO STOP THE GSA!
