HOWARD LYMAN AKA The "Mad Cowboy," Howard is a 4th generation cattle man and a vegan. He gained notoriety following a guest appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show several years ago when he and Oprah ended up being sued by some Texas cattlemen for comments made about Mad Cow disease. Howard now works tirelessly travelling across the country speaking about food production and the many problems with the current system.
He is a tremendously entertaining and knowledgeable speaker. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring Howard to Syracuse. This is a great chance to hear and meet one of the nation's premier experts on the cattle industry, Mad Cow Disease and what can be done about it.
ERIK MARCUS Erik is a renowned author and speaker on veganism, engaging audiences in thought-provoking discussions about animal rights, specifically those of animals used for food. He's written many books on the topic and hosts a weekly web program, "Erik's Diner." This is a great chance to hear from a leading vegan activist... don't miss it!
HAROLD BROWN Harold Brown was raised on a cattle farm and spent half of his life in agriculture. Now, he speaks to audiences across the country about the unsustainability of modern agricultural practices and the cruelty involved in factory farming. He also serves as Outreach Coordinator for Farm Sanctuary.
GEORGE EISMAN George Eisman is considered one of the nation's foremost educators on vegetarian nutrition. He has served as a faculty member in Dietetics and Nutrition at several universities and colleges and created the first accredited program in Vegetarian Studies. He has worked in a children's hospital, a nursing home and for public health agencies in four states. Eisman has spoken at numerous events and conferences and is the author of two books.
