Nonviolent direct action &nbsp;<BR>has always been a cornerstone of the movement to close the SOA. Thousands &nbsp;<BR>have risked prison by crossing the line onto Ft. Benning, carrying forward &nbsp;<BR>the memories of those who have died at the hands of SOA graduates. This &nbsp;<BR>courageous witness has propelled the movement forward and inspired thousands &nbsp;<BR>more to join the struggle. &nbsp;<BR> Each year the army tries new strategies to suppress the power of this &nbsp;<BR>witness.
