People of color are disproportionately arrested and convicted for drug related crimes. What are the most effective tools to combat these destructive health disparities?</div><div class="aolmail_aolmail_aolmail_MsoNormal"> </div><div class="aolmail_aolmail_aolmail_MsoNormal">Benitez – A SUNY Brockport graduate – is the Executive Director of Prevention Point, Philadelphia, an agency founded in 1991 by ACT UP activists in response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Under the leadership of Benitez, the agency has earned a national reputation for its innovative harm reduction programs and advocacy of effective, humane substance abuse policies.
