The Texas Lawyers' Assistance Program stands ready to help you or any of your colleagues, as well as any judge or law student in Texas, find support and resources to deal with burnout, chronic stress, cognitive impairment, mental health issues, or substance use concerns. TLAP’s trained and caring staff can consult with you to develop a plan for yourself or for another member of the bar for whom you are concerned.
TLAP maintains an extensive database of behavioral health professionals, as well as peer and community support groups, who are familiar with the special challenges faced by lawyers experiencing these issues. Additionally, TLAP can match lawyers with volunteers in their communities who can provide peer assistance and ongoing support.
For more information or for help for you or a colleague, please call TLAP anytime, day or night, at (800) 343-8527. You can also go to our website to learn more.
