Have you heard about Take Back the Land before, and it struck something in you, but you weren't sure what?
Maybe you've been to a rally and are curious how to become more involved?
Or perhaps you're already a strong supporter.
Regardless of where you stand with Take Back the Land, we are offering an opportunity next week to become a little more informed on the Housing crisis not only here in Rochester, NY but at a national level.
We will have several home defenders sharing their stories, both current and victorious, as well as passionate activists bringing investgative knowledge to a panel as we paint a picture of the injustice and utopian ideas that could happen through solidarity.
We will be preparing snacks for the community potluck we will also be hosting, so please bring a dish to pass if you can! After we learn a little more about what the Take Back the Land movement means we will snack out!
We then will regroup for a little bit of fun! Take Back the Land wants to help demonstrate what a Direct Action "Home Defense" looks like and how to safely and peacefully carry one out. This will involve role play and working together as a group (community) to help show you how it's done!
Put what you've learned to great use the following Friday, April 1st at our rally to keep Elizabeth McGriff's home:
